A record-breaking, 1,793-pound burger emerged from a propane-fueled, improvised shipping container oven at 10 a.m. July 10, rewarding the patience and hard work of restaurateur Steve Mallie and his team. The burger went into the oven at Mallie’s Sports Bar and Grill, 19400 Northline Road in Southgate, at 11:30 a.m.
